Chief Executive Officer

Allen "Skeeter" Bird is a 1985 Northwestern graduate with a degree in history. He received his master’s of public administration in 1998 from the University of Anchorage. Upon graduation from Northwestern, Bird signed on with the Army and remained in active service until 1998. In that year, he became a full-time member of the Army National Guard and was stationed in Alaska until 2005.

During his military career as an Army aviator, he served in various positions that included: platoon leader, company commander, financial manager, and battalion commander. In July of 2005, after attaining the rank of lieutenant colonel, Bird retired from the Army National Guard and assumed responsibilities as the Chief Executive Officer for the Foundation.



Director of Alumni Relations

Allen comes to the Foundation and Alumni Association with over thirty years of experience in global public relations, marketing, government relations and crisis management. Most recently, he was the Director of Public Relations at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.  Originally from Hardtner, Kan., Allen earned hisBachelor of Science in Education degree in English/Journalism from Pittsburg State University.  His wife, Dawn, is an adjunct professor of English at Northwestern.

Financial Manager

Sadie Bier joins the organization as its financial manager, responsible for the fiscal management and maintenance of the accounting records for the Northwestern Foundation & Alumni Association.

Bier is a 2013 Northwestern graduate with a degree in accounting. Before completing her degree, she enlisted in the Oklahoma National Guard in 2007 and remained in active duty until 2013, spending eight months deployed to Afghanistan. Bier and her husband, Brandon, reside in Alva. They have a daughter, McKinsey, and son, Dakota.


Hailey Clark


Office Manager 

Hailey Cudmore joins the organization as its Office Manager, responsible for assisting the chief executive officer with all duties including gift acknowledgements, receipts/billings for dues and drives and management of special events.

                Originally from Broken Arrow, Okla., Cudmore is a 2016 graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Strategic Communications. She brings more than seven years of customer service experience with her.

                Cudmore currently resides in Cherokee with her husband, Clay.



Development Officer

Shane Engelken joins the organization as its full-time development officer and is responsible for the development of new and existing relationships that lead toward increased giving to Northwestern.

Engelken brings to the new position a diverse background in sales and entrepreneurship.  He worked in various positions in the oil and gas industry while attending college. He also worked beside other volunteers in rebuilding his hometown of Greensburg, Kans., after the May 2007 tornado devastated  the community.

Engelken is a Northwestern graduate with a degree in biology. He began his collegiate career at Sterling College, Sterling, Kans., and was a member of the college’s football team.  He transferred to Northwestern in 2012. He and his wife, Catherine, reside in Alva. They have one daughter, Adalynn.



Communications and Marketing Manager

Jenn Freemyer joins the Northwestern Foundation & Alumni Association as its communications and marketing manager, responsible for the creative and strategic development and execution of communication and marketing programs.

Originally from Chicago, Ill., Freemyer earned her B.S. degree in public relations at Texas State University. Most recently, she served as the career services coordinator and transfer admissions counselor/recruiter in Northwestern’s Office of Recruitment. 

Freemyer and her husband, Jonathan, reside in Alva.


Melissa Jenlink 


Relationship Manager

Melissa Jenlink joins the organization as its relationship manager, responsible for the development, marketing and management of donor relations and the stewardship program. The relationship manager also is the primary staff member responsible for contracts, relationships and expectations of donors after they have made a gift.

Jenlink is a 2003 graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s of Administration in marketing. She previously worked for Hammer Williams Company as their marketing manager. She brings experience in both the education and foundation realm, where she worked for Autry Technology Center as its director of communications and marketing while simultaneously directing the Autry Technology Center Educational Foundation. Jenlink also was recognized in 2013 as Enid Young Professionals Top 10 under 40.

                Jenlink and her husband, Jason, currently reside in Jet. They have one son, Judah.

Database and Research Manager

Judd joins the organization as its database and research manager, responsible for the development, management, accuracy and input of the alumni and donor database. 

Judd is a 2008 Northwestern graduate with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He also completed his masters of counseling psychology at Northwestern in 2012. Prior to his position in the Foundation & Alumni Association, Judd was employed by Northwestern as a contract clinical supervisor/counselor at the Bill Johnson Correctional Center in Alva.  

Judd and his wife, Kelcie, reside in Cherokee. They have a son, Terek, and daughter, Anastasia.
